Mansa: The parents of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala staged a protest outside the SP office, demanding the registration of a case against lyricist and manager Bunty Bains. The dharna was organised after alleged inaction by the police despite a formal complaint being submitted days earlier.
During the protest, Moosewala’s father levelled serious allegations against the police, claiming collusion with gangsters and deliberate delay in taking action. He stated that even after five days of submitting a written complaint, no FIR had been registered. Expressing anguish, he said the family has still not received justice in Sidhu Moosewala’s murder case.
Moosewala’s father further revealed that around six months ago, a complaint had been filed against One Digital Company and its manager Bunty Bains. The family had also engaged a lawyer to pursue the matter, but according to him, no concrete action was taken. He alleged that while Bunty Bains was removed, no objections were raised by the family at that time; however, till date, no steps have been initiated against Sameer Memon and Gurpreet Singh.
Frustrated over the alleged lack of progress, the family decided to stage the protest outside the SP office to press for accountability and legal action. They reiterated their demand for a fair investigation and strict proceedings against those named in their complaint.
Police officials have not yet issued a detailed public statement regarding the allegations raised during the protest.
