SGPC Employees Donate One Day’s Salary for Punjab Flood Relief

Amritsar– In a show of solidarity with flood-affected families across Punjab, employees of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) have pledged to donate one day’s salary to relief efforts.

SGPC Secretary S. Pratap Singh said the Sikh body has been engaged in relief work from the first day of the floods. “Our employees are personally reaching out to affected people and providing help. In every calamity, they have stood on the frontlines and also contributed financially,” he noted.

Acting under the directions of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, staff have been working tirelessly for several days, often wading through floodwaters to deliver aid. Today, all employees formally resolved to dedicate one day’s salary to the cause. “The SGPC will continue its relief services until the situation normalizes,” Singh assured.

Among those present at the announcement were S. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, Additional Secretary S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, S. Bijay Singh, S. Shahbaz Singh, S. Bhagwant Singh Dhangeda, S. Gurdial Singh, S. Gurnam Singh, S. Jaswinder Singh Jassi, S. Harbhajan Singh Vakta, S. Sukhbir Singh, Superintendent S. Nishan Singh, S. Malkit Singh Bahirwal, and several SGPC employees.
