Senior Congress Leader Shot Inside Home in Punjab’s Moga, Condition Critical

Moga (Punjab): A senior Congress leader was shot at inside his residence in Punjab’s Moga district after two unidentified assailants forcibly entered his house and opened fire, triggering panic in the area.

The victim, identified as Narinderpal Singh Sidhu, sustained serious gunshot injuries and was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical.

Congress leader from Moga, Dharampal Singh, said that Narinderpal Singh Sidhu had been repeatedly warning the police for the past six months about a threat to his life and had sought security cover. However, no concrete action was taken by the authorities, he alleged.
