Sangrur (Punjab), August 18, 2025: The Deputy Commissioner of Sangrur has announced a local holiday on August 20, 2025, to mark the Barsi (death anniversary) of Sant Baba Harbans Singh Ji Longewal.
According to the official order, all government offices, boards, corporations, and educational institutions in the district will remain closed on the day. The notification clarified that the holiday will be observed only as a local holiday, meaning government treasuries, sub-treasuries, and banks will continue normal operations.
