Chandigarh: Senior Congress leader and MLA Rana Gurjeet Singh has dismissed speculations regarding any rift or deadlock within the Punjab unit of the Congress party, asserting that “everything is fine” and describing internal discussions as a routine matter. He emphasized that no individual within the party operates outside or stands above the authority of the high command.
The statement followed a high-profile meeting at Rana Gurjeet’s residence, which saw the attendance of several prominent party leaders. Among those who visited were former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Member of Parliament Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, MLA Pargat Singh, former Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Gurkirat Singh Kotli, and MLA Barindermeet Singh Pahra.
Addressing media inquiries about the purpose of the gathering, Rana Gurjeet clarified that the leaders had visited primarily to show solidarity and boost his morale. He expressed his gratitude to his colleagues for the gesture, reiterating that the party remains united and that any internal organizational matters would be handled smoothly through regular party channels.
