Akshay Kumar’s financial pledge will go towards the procurement and distribution of essential relief materials, such as food, clean water, and medical supplies.
In a recent interview, Akshay Kumar emphasized that his contribution was not merely a “donation” but a form of “service” to those in need. “I am giving Rs 5 crore to provide relief material for the flood victims, but who am I to donate? When I get the opportunity to help, I feel fortunate. This is my service, my small contribution,” Akshay explained.
