Chandigarh: The Punjab Cabinet will convene an important meeting tomorrow at 12 noon at the Chief Minister’s residence, with major decisions expected on relief and rehabilitation efforts as the state grapples with devastating floods.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who remains hospitalized and is still recovering, will attend the meeting virtually through video conferencing. Despite his ill health, the CM has been closely monitoring flood relief operations.
“Serving the people remains my top priority,” Mann said, assuring that he continues to oversee rescue and rehabilitation measures even from the hospital.
Officials indicated that the Cabinet session will likely center on emergency relief, compensation for affected families, and long-term strategies to mitigate future flood damage. With vast areas of Punjab inundated, the meeting is being viewed as crucial for shaping the government’s response to one of the state’s worst natural disasters in recent years.
