Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has announced summer vacations for all schools across the state from June 1 to June 30, 2026.
According to the official schedule, educational institutions will remain closed for one month in view of the summer season and prevailing heatwave conditions.
Schools are scheduled to reopen on July 1, 2026, following the conclusion of the summer break, unless any further notification is issued by the state government.
The announcement comes amid rising temperatures across northern India, with several districts in Punjab witnessing intense heat conditions in recent weeks.
Students, teachers and school staff will observe the summer vacation from June 1 through June 30.
