Police Officer Killed in Car-Motorcycle Collision in Amritsar

Amritsar: A tragic road accident in Amritsar claimed the life of a police officer after a severe collision between a car and a motorcycle.

The deceased has been identified as Narendra Singh. According to available information, he was riding his motorcycle toward Amritsar Railway Station, from where he was scheduled to travel by train to Ludhiana to report for duty. Narendra Singh was a resident of Amritsar and was posted with the Ludhiana Commissionerate Police.

On the way, a speeding car reportedly rammed into his motorcycle with great force. The impact was so intense that both vehicles were badly damaged. Following the accident, a large crowd gathered at the scene and police were immediately informed.

Police personnel reached the spot promptly and rushed the injured officer to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

A case has been registered, and the accused driver of the car has been taken into custody. A post-mortem examination of the deceased officer is being conducted, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
