Sultanpur Lodhi (Kapurthala): The Kapurthala district administration has announced a dedicated helpline number — 62800-49331 — to streamline relief efforts for families affected by floods. The District Treasury Officer has been appointed as the nodal officer to oversee and coordinate the distribution of relief material.

Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal stated that donors, NGOs, religious bodies, and citizens from across the region have been extending support to flood-hit areas. However, many face challenges in delivering supplies due to a lack of knowledge about local geography and the actual requirements of affected families.

To ensure efficient coordination, the administration has authorized the District Treasury Officer as the official in charge of relief efforts. The Sultanpur Lodhi Market Committee office has been designated as the central collection hub for supplies. Strategically located on the Kapurthala–Sultanpur road (via RCF), the office offers easy access for donors to contribute their aid.

The Deputy Commissioner assured that all relief material will reach deserving beneficiaries without delay. He also extended his gratitude to individuals and organizations contributing to the cause, emphasizing that their generosity is vital in supporting flood victims during this difficult time.
