Jalandhar (Ens): Thousands of students from across India and several countries began one of the most significant chapters of their lives as Lovely Professional University (LPU) welcomed its incoming batch through Freshman Induction 2026. The campus came alive with a series of leadership interactions, industry sessions, cultural performances, celebrity appearances, and student engagement activities, giving freshers their first taste of university life.
Alongside students, parents also participated in interactive sessions with university leadership and faculty members, receiving firsthand insights into LPU’s academic ecosystem, student support initiatives, and the opportunities available throughout the academic journey. The induction created a vibrant atmosphere where freshers connected with peers, explored campus life, and stepped into their new beginning with confidence and excitement.
Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro Chancellor of LPU, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor of LPU, and Dr. Loviraj Gupta, Pro Vice Chancellor of LPU, engaged with students and their parents through open interactions that brought conversations beyond the stage. They answered questions, listened to aspirations, and discussed the opportunities awaiting freshers on campus, while parents gained reassurance as they witnessed their children begin a new chapter with confidence.
Beyond the sessions, the induction featured a celebration of music and entertainment, with Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Karan Deol, Jasmin Bhasin, Gulab Sidhu, Happy Raikoti, and the cast of Juda joining the festivities. LPU alumnus Rahgir returned for a soulful homecoming concert, while the ANHADNAAD Healing India Tour, DJ performances, and evening concerts added to the vibrant on campus atmosphere.
