Karnal (Haryana): Confusion and speculation spread late Friday night after claims surfaced on social media alleging that unidentified assailants opened fire at the residence of singer Diljit Dosanjh’s manager in Haryana’s Karnal district.

The alleged incident was reported from Gondar village, where police teams rushed after receiving information about firing at the house of Gurpratap Kang, said to be associated with Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh.

According to reports, teams from the local police, Special Task Force (STF) and CIA unit reached the spot and conducted an investigation. Police officials reportedly searched the area for evidence, including empty bullet shells, but no such material had been recovered till late night.

The incident took another turn after an alleged social media post linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang surfaced online, claiming responsibility for the firing. The post allegedly mentioned names associated with the gang and referred to Gurpratap Kang and Diljit Dosanjh.

However, local residents and village representatives questioned the authenticity of the firing claims. Former village sarpanch Joga Singh reportedly stated that no gunshots were heard in the village and termed the entire episode a rumour.

He said police personnel remained in the village for nearly an hour conducting inquiries and added that family members inside the house were themselves informed later about the alleged reports of firing.

The viral social media post also carried several serious allegations and warning messages. However, there has been no official confirmation from police authorities regarding the authenticity of the post or the claims made in it.

No injuries or property damage have been reported so far. Police have not issued any formal statement confirming that firing actually took place.

The matter remains under investigation as authorities continue to verify the claims and examine the origin of the viral social media messages.
