Gurdaspur: In a remarkable display of bravery and service, the Border Security Force (BSF) carried out a special rescue operation in the flood-ravaged areas of village Dillerpur Kheda, Dinanagar, Gurdaspur district.

Using an inflatable boat and support from its Water Wing specialists, BSF personnel worked relentlessly through rising waters to evacuate stranded residents. Officials confirmed that nearly 60 villagers, including women and children, were safely rescued and shifted to safer locations.

The prompt action by BSF drew appreciation from both the district administration and the border population, who hailed the operation as an outstanding example of dedication, professionalism and humanitarian service in times of crisis.

Authorities added that BSF teams remain on alert in low-lying areas near the border to respond swiftly if the situation worsens.
