Amritsar: A well-known internet personality and stylist, Mad Sandhu, was murdered after unidentified gunmen ambushed him in Punjab’s border city of Amritsar on Saturday. The daylight assault took place within the commercial corridor of Pratap Nagar, sending bystanders running for cover as rapid gunfire echoed across the market.
Witness accounts state that armed assailants approached Sandhu suddenly and discharged several rounds directly toward him at point-blank range. The victim, legally known as Madhusudan, sustained catastrophic trauma and slumped onto the pavement as the shooters fled into nearby alleys. Distressing visuals recorded by onlookers surfaced online moments later, depicting emergency efforts by locals to aid the grievously wounded creator before an ambulance arrived.
First responders transported him to a local medical centre for urgent surgery, but attending physicians were unable to revive him and officially registered his demise shortly after arrival. Acquaintances and close associates noted that Sandhu had expressed concerns over hostile warnings and veiled intimidation directed at him in recent weeks.
Specialised investigative units cordoned off the targeted perimeter to gather ballistics evidence and log forensic details. Police officials have dispatched teams to inspect security surveillance systems installed on adjacent storefronts to map out the escape path used by the perpetrators. A formal criminal investigation has been launched to establish the underlying motives behind the execution and track down the culprits.
