AAP MLA Raman Arora Receives Death Threat Calls, Demands ₹5 Crore Extortion

Jalandhar— Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Jalandhar Central, Raman Arora, has reportedly received death threats over two phone calls made from an international number.

According to the legislator, the unidentified caller demanded ₹5 crore and threatened to shoot him and his family if the money was not paid. Arora stated that he initially ignored the first call but decided to report the matter after receiving a second threat.

He has lodged an official complaint with the Jalandhar Police Commissioner, urging swift action. The caller neither disclosed his identity nor mentioned any gang affiliation during the calls, Arora said.

Police have launched an investigation into the matter, tracing the origin of the foreign number and verifying the threat.
