Dhule: A dispute over the management of a Gurdwara Sahib led to a clash between two groups within the Sikh community in Dhule district of Maharashtra, prompting police intervention and the registration of a case.

According to officials, the confrontation involved two rival factions, one allegedly headed by Ranbir Singh and the other led by Dara Singh, who is the brother of former president Dheeraj Singh. The disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical altercation, creating tension in and around the religious premises.

Police reached the spot soon after the incident and took Ranbir Singh into custody in connection with the matter. Authorities said the situation was brought under control to prevent further escalation and to maintain law and order in the area.

Dara Singh later stated that security personnel have been deployed in and around the Gurdwara to ensure peace. He also confirmed that Gurmat Diwas is scheduled to be observed at the Gurdwara on the same day between 11 am and 1 pm, as planned.

The police said they are investigating the incident and have appealed to members of the community to maintain calm and allow religious activities to proceed without disruption.
