Chandigarh, Sept 24: The southwest monsoon is on its way out from Punjab, with weather officials predicting its complete withdrawal from the state within the next 24 hours. According to the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, conditions are now favorable for the retreat of monsoon not only from Punjab but also from neighboring states like Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.
As the monsoon recedes, dry weather is expected to persist across Punjab at least until September 29. No rainfall alerts have been issued for this period, and the skies are likely to remain clear throughout the state.
