Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann once again proved that he is a CM connected to common people. On Thursday, CM Mann suddenly arrived at Kurali Bus Stand and stayed there for a full 1 hour and 15 minutes. No big protocol, no heavy security cover. Just standing at the bus stand like a common person and talking to people.

CM Mann inspected PRTC buses parked at the bus stand one by one. He saw with his own eyes the cleanliness of buses, condition of seats, and facilities being provided to passengers. He also talked openly with drivers and conductors and listened to their problems. People present there were amazed to see this.

CM Mann asked direct questions to passengers waiting at the bus stand. “What problems do you face in buses? Do you get buses on time? How is your journey?” Passengers also freely told their problems and the CM listened carefully to everyone. Many people even took out their mobile phones and took selfies with the CM.

Not only this, CM Mann called the district DC while standing right there. He spoke directly with the DC about bus stand arrangements, cleanliness, and passenger facilities. He also gave some important instructions on the phone itself. Seeing this, people standing nearby were convinced that their problems would be solved immediately.

This happened for the first time in Punjab politics when a Chief Minister stayed at a bus stand for so long without any formality. Usually leaders come with convoys, do a few minutes of formality and leave, but Bhagwant Mann broke this tradition.

People present at Kurali Bus Stand praised the CM’s step a lot. An elderly passenger said, “I have never seen any big leader at a bus stand for so long. Mann sahib is truly a CM of common people.” A woman passenger said that now she hopes bus services will improve further.

CM Bhagwant Mann’s unique initiative has once again sent the message that the government believes in going to the ground to understand common people’s problems. This 1 hour and 15 minutes spent at Kurali Bus Stand has perhaps written a new chapter in Punjab politics. This is a CM who truly likes to be among his people.
