Israel: More than 100 people were injured after Iranian missile strikes hit southern parts of Israel, including the cities of Arad and Dimona, intensifying fears of further escalation in the ongoing conflict.

According to Israel’s Foreign Ministry, the attacks targeted civilian areas, leaving significant damage and injuring men, women and children. Local authorities reported that several residential neighbourhoods were impacted, forcing the evacuation of nearly 150 families in Arad alone.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the situation as grave and said the government is mobilising all necessary resources to assist those affected. He confirmed that he had spoken with Arad Mayor Yair Maayan and assured full support from national authorities.

In a public statement, Netanyahu emphasised that Israel would continue its military operations across multiple fronts, signaling a strong response to the attacks. He also urged citizens to follow safety instructions issued by emergency agencies.

The strikes reportedly included a missile that landed in Dimona, a town known for hosting one of Israel’s key nuclear facilities, adding to concerns about the conflict reaching sensitive strategic zones.

Political leaders across the spectrum expressed solidarity with the victims. Former Prime Ministers Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid both condemned the attacks and extended support to the injured and emergency responders working on the ground.

Rescue teams continued operations late into the night, clearing debris and assisting those affected, while tensions in the region remained high amid fears of further retaliation.
