Jaipur: The NEET-PG 2026 examination was disrupted at a test centre in Jaipur’s Sitapura area after a reported server malfunction affected candidates’ computers during the exam.
According to ACP Lalit Sharma, authorities received information that the examination server was not functioning properly, resulting in an uneven disruption at the centre.
Some computers worked, others failed
Police said the technical problem did not affect all systems in the same manner. While computers of some candidates opened and functioned, others reportedly failed to start or encountered problems, preventing the examination from proceeding normally.
The disruption left several candidates upset, with students expressing anger over the conduct of the examination and the technical arrangements at the centre.
Officials hold talks with candidates
Police personnel reached out to the affected candidates following the disruption. ACP Sharma said officials were speaking with the students and attempting to counsel them and understand their concerns.
Discussions were also being held at a higher level with the examination’s organising agency to determine an appropriate course of action.
Officials are working towards what Sharma described as a logical and meaningful solution to the situation.
Decision on affected candidates awaited
The technical failure has raised concerns among candidates who were unable to take the examination normally.
Authorities are now expected to coordinate with the examination agency to determine the next steps for students affected by the server issue.
Further clarity is awaited on whether the disrupted examination will be rescheduled or whether any alternative arrangement will be made for the candidates at the Sitapura centre.
