Mumbai— In the wake of a second firing incident at comedian Kapil Sharma’s café in Canada, Mumbai Police has stepped up security for the actor-comedian. The latest attack occurred outside Sharma’s “Caps Cafe” in Surrey on August 7, just weeks after a similar shooting on July 9.
The back-to-back incidents have raised serious safety concerns for Sharma and those linked to the establishment. While no injuries were reported in either case, the recurrence of violence has prompted swift preventive measures by law enforcement in Mumbai.
Authorities in India are maintaining close contact with their counterparts in Canada, where local police are investigating both shootings. Security has been enhanced around Sharma’s Mumbai residence, and police patrols in the area have been increased as a precautionary measure.
The motive behind the attacks remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing in Surrey to identify and apprehend the culprits.
