Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal is scheduled to meet Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Tuesday along with a delegation representing farmers, with several issues concerning the state’s agricultural community expected to come up for discussion.
The meeting is set to take place at 11:30 am at Punjab Lok Bhawan. Dhaliwal is expected to present the delegation’s concerns before the Governor and discuss matters that have remained pending or require government attention.
The delegation will raise issues connected with agriculture and the difficulties currently being faced by farmers across Punjab. Discussions are also expected to focus on farmers’ demands and possible measures that could provide relief and address their concerns.
The meeting assumes significance as agriculture remains a key part of Punjab’s economy and the state’s rural livelihood. By bringing representatives of the farming community directly into the meeting, the delegation is expected to provide the Governor with a broader account of the challenges faced at the ground level.
Dhaliwal and the farmers’ representatives are likely to seek consideration of their demands and explore possible avenues for resolving the issues through appropriate intervention.
The discussions at Punjab Lok Bhawan are expected to cover the major concerns affecting farmers and ways in which effective steps can be taken to address them.
