Raisen, Madhya Pradesh – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday hailed India’s economy as the most “dashing and dynamic” in the world, asserting that the nation’s rapid growth is causing discomfort to those who believe they are “everyone’s boss.”
Speaking after performing the bhoomi pujan for a new rail coach manufacturing unit of Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) in Raisen district, Singh expressed confidence that “no power in the world” can stop India from emerging as a global powerhouse.
“Today, if there is any country with a truly dashing and dynamic economy, it is India,” he declared.
His remarks come against the backdrop of new high tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump on Indian imports. Without naming specific countries, Singh said some are unable to accept India’s rapid progress and are attempting to make Indian goods less competitive abroad.
“They think, ‘we are everyone’s boss,’ and cannot understand how India is growing at this pace. Many are trying to ensure that goods made by Indian hands become so expensive overseas that people prefer not to buy them,” he said.
Despite these challenges, Singh stressed that India’s momentum is unstoppable. “India is moving forward so fast that I can say with full confidence—no global force can prevent our nation from becoming a major world power,” he concluded.
