New Delhi: The Indian Air Force’s 93rd anniversary celebrations took an unexpected social media turn as the event’s dinner menu went viral, featuring dishes named after cities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir struck during Operation Sindoor. The operation, launched on May 7, was a response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

The menu included items such as Rawalpindi Chicken Tikka Masala, Rafiqui Rhara Mutton, Bholari Paneer Methi Malai, Sukkur Sham Savera Kofta, Sargodha Dal Makhani, Jacobabad Mewa Pulao, and Bahawalpur Naan. Desserts carried similarly themed names, including Balakot Tiramisu, Muzaffarabad Kulfi Faluda, and Muridke Meetha Pan.

Each name corresponded to a location targeted during the May operation, subtly highlighting the IAF’s precision strikes. Social media users widely praised the menu for its humor, creativity, and patriotic messaging.

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh described Operation Sindoor as a “moment of immense pride” for India, emphasizing the Air Force’s strategic capabilities and operational excellence.
