New Delhi: In a sweeping operation across Delhi-NCR and parts of Haryana, the Outer North District Police carried out extensive raids targeting some of the region’s most feared crime syndicates.

According to officials, nearly 40 police teams fanned out simultaneously at multiple locations linked to associates and members of gangs led by Tillu Tajpuria, Neeraj Bawana-Rajesh Bawana, Jitendra alias Gogi, and Kala Jatheri.

The coordinated action resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, along with unaccounted cash. Authorities confirmed that multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) have been lodged in connection with the seizures and arrests.

Senior police officers said the operation was aimed at disrupting the growing nexus between these rival groups, which have been embroiled in violent turf wars, extortion rackets, and contract killings across Delhi and neighboring states.

“Such raids are part of a sustained effort to weaken organized crime networks and ensure public safety in the region,” a senior officer stated, adding that the crackdown would continue in the coming weeks.

The raids come amid increasing concerns about inter-gang rivalries spilling into public spaces, including high-profile shootouts in recent years that shook the capital.

Police sources indicated that interrogation of the detained associates may help uncover further financial and logistical support systems of these groups, particularly their alleged involvement in smuggling and arms trafficking.
