Mann said Punjab has always played a key role in India’s sporting success, and the government is committed to strengthening this legacy by building more than 3,000 playgrounds across the state.

The Chief Minister announced that these playgrounds will be constructed at a total cost of ₹1,184 crore, equipped with all necessary facilities for athletes. He added that the initiative aims to promote sports in both rural and urban areas of Punjab, encouraging youth participation and supporting their physical and overall development.

They said it represents a revolutionary step toward improving education and sports opportunities in the state. Earlier, Mann had reaffirmed his government’s commitment to creating more employment and sporting opportunities for the youth.
