CBSE Class 12 Student Alleges Error After Receiving Wrong Physics Answer Sheet, Sparks Online Debate

New Delhi: A Class 12 student has raised concerns over the CBSE evaluation process after claiming that the Physics answer sheet uploaded under his roll number does not belong to him, triggering discussions on possible administrative or digital tagging errors.

The student, who had applied for a re-evaluation after receiving unexpectedly low marks in Physics, said he accessed the scanned copies through the board’s rechecking portal. However, he alleged that the handwriting and responses in the uploaded paper did not match his own examination work.

In a detailed online post, he stated that the moment he viewed the document, he and his family immediately noticed discrepancies in handwriting style and the nature of answers written. He maintained that the paper did not reflect what he had attempted during the examination.

The student further claimed that his English and Computer Science answer sheets, which were also accessed through the same process, matched his handwriting and writing style, strengthening his suspicion that the Physics paper may belong to another candidate.

Raising concerns about a possible administrative mix-up, he questioned whether the correct answer sheet had been evaluated under his roll number at all. He suggested that the issue could be linked to a potential error in the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) or digital tagging system used for handling scanned answer sheets.

The post quickly gained attention on social media, where users expressed mixed reactions. While some urged the student to seek legal recourse or approach higher authorities, others questioned how such an error could occur in a centrally managed examination system. A few users also shared concerns about transparency in the re-evaluation process.

As of now, the Central Board of Secondary Education has not issued any official statement regarding the allegation. The incident has once again brought attention to concerns raised by students over the accuracy and reliability of digital answer sheet handling and evaluation systems.

Further developments are awaited as the matter continues to circulate online and draw public interest.
