Gurugram: A wave of alarm swept through several schools in Gurugram on Wednesday morning after multiple institutions received bomb threat emails, prompting swift evacuations and large-scale security checks.

Among the schools that reported receiving the threatening messages were Shri Ram School, Amity International School, and The HDFC School. According to initial information, the emails were sent around 8:33 a.m., at a time when students had already begun arriving and classes were underway.

School administrations acted immediately, activating emergency response procedures. Students were escorted out of classrooms, and parents were notified to pick up their children. Within a short span, anxious parents gathered outside school gates, leading to heavy congestion in surrounding areas.

Local police, along with bomb disposal squads, were deployed to conduct thorough searches of the premises. Officials said that around ten schools had approached authorities after receiving similar threats. “Our teams are on the ground, and detailed inspections are being carried out to ensure safety,” a senior police officer stated.

Authorities have not confirmed the presence of any explosive devices so far, and investigations are ongoing to trace the source of the emails. Meanwhile, schools have either suspended classes for the day or shifted to precautionary closures.

The incident has once again raised concerns over recurring hoax threats targeting educational institutions, disrupting normal academic activities and causing distress among students and parents alike.
