Mumbai: Social activist Anna Hazare, 89, has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital after developing a viral infection accompanied by acute dehydration, according to information shared by his aide on Tuesday.
Hazare was shifted to Bombay Hospital in south Mumbai on Monday for further medical evaluation. Before being moved to Mumbai, he had received initial treatment at a hospital in Ahilyanagar district.
His aide said doctors at Bombay Hospital are currently carrying out a detailed assessment of his health. The medical team will decide the further course of treatment after evaluating his condition.
Shifted to Mumbai for Further Treatment
Hazare was initially taken to a local hospital in Ahilyanagar after falling unwell. Following the preliminary treatment there, he was brought to Mumbai for more detailed medical care and observation.
Doctors at Bombay Hospital are monitoring his condition and conducting the necessary medical examinations. Further treatment will be planned based on the findings of the assessment.
