Katra: The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has announced that the pilgrimage to the revered shrine will resume on Sunday, September 14, after a temporary halt due to adverse weather and necessary track maintenance. The resumption remains contingent on favorable weather conditions.
The Yatra was earlier suspended as a precautionary measure following heavy rainfall in the region, which raised safety concerns along the hilly route. Additionally, the Shrine Board undertook essential maintenance work on the track to ensure the safety and comfort of the pilgrims.
In an official statement issued today, the Shrine Board confirmed, “Subject to improvement in weather conditions, the Yatra to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi will recommence from Sunday, September 14.”
Pilgrims are advised to stay updated through official Shrine Board channels before planning their visit. The authorities have also urged visitors to follow safety guidelines and cooperate with on-ground staff during their journey.
