New Delhi: V Srinivasan, the husband of Indian Olympic Association President and Rajya Sabha MP P T Usha, passed away in the early hours of Friday, family sources confirmed. He was 67.
According to sources, Srinivasan collapsed at his residence early in the morning. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors were unable to revive him.
A former central government employee, Srinivasan remained a constant and steady presence in Usha’s life, standing by her side through her celebrated sporting journey and later her entry into public life. Those close to the family described him as her strongest pillar of support and a key influence behind many of her professional achievements.
His passing has drawn condolences from the sporting and political fraternity, who remembered him as a quiet but significant force behind one of India’s most iconic athletes.
