New Delhi: United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in New Delhi on Monday for a brief official visit and was received at the airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit comes at a time of heightened tensions in West Asia.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the visit is being undertaken at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi and reflects the strong momentum in bilateral relations generated through frequent high-level engagements between the two leaders.
During his stay, which is expected to last around two hours, President Al Nahyan will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Modi later in the evening. The discussions are expected to focus on regional developments and further strengthening the strategic partnership between India and the UAE.
India and the UAE share close cooperation across key areas including trade, investment, defence, energy and regional security, with regular leadership-level interactions reinforcing the growing depth of ties between the two countries.
