Pune: A trainer aircraft operated by Carver Aviation crashed while landing near the Baramati airstrip in Maharashtra’s Pune district on Sunday. Police reported that the incident occurred around 12:30 pm when the Cessna 172 aircraft (registration VT-SEX) skidded off the landing area.
Both occupants on board survived the accident and sustained minor injuries. Emergency responders and local authorities reached the site shortly after the crash to secure the area and assess the wreckage.
A senior police official confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine whether the crash was caused by a technical malfunction or other operational issues. Further inquiries by civil aviation authorities are expected to determine the exact cause of the accident.
