Speeding BMW Kills 20-Year-Old Student in Rajkot, Drags Bike for 200 Feet

Rajkot— A 20-year-old engineering student was killed early Monday morning after a speeding BMW rammed into his two-wheeler and dragged it for nearly 200 feet on Kalavad Road in Gujarat’s Rajkot city, police said.

The victim, identified as Abhishek Nathani, was a student at a local engineering college. He died on the spot due to the severe impact of the collision, which left the front portion of the luxury car completely wrecked.

According to Rajkot (Taluka) police, the accident occurred around 2 a.m. when Nathani’s two-wheeler was attempting to cross the road. Sub-inspector P.J. Parmar said, “The SUV hit the motorcycle and dragged it nearly 200 feet. The impact was so powerful that the front of the vehicle was mangled, and the victim died instantly.”

The BMW driver, identified as 26-year-old Atman Patel, son of a local businessman, escaped without injuries and was arrested shortly after the crash. Police confirmed that the entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and a detailed investigation is underway.
