Rewa, Madhya Pradesh: A Class 11 student from a private school in Rewa district died by suicide, leaving behind a note accusing a male teacher of repeatedly harassing her. Police said the 17-year-old girl took her life at her home in Semaria on November 16. The handwritten note was recovered during investigation on Thursday, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Aarti Singh.
The note described how the teacher allegedly held her hand while hitting her and forced her to open his closed fist. It also said he pressed a pen between her fingers, calling it a punishment. The behaviour deeply disturbed her, the note suggested.
Family members said she behaved normally at home and showed no visible signs of distress. They alleged that she faced mental harassment at school and demanded a thorough inquiry into her call records and all school-related interactions.
Police officials said they are probing every angle to determine what led the girl to take the extreme step. Statements from teachers, students, and school authorities are being collected as part of the investigation.
