New Delhi — Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat has generated a revenue of ₹34.13 crore since its inception in 2014, the government informed the Rajya Sabha on Friday.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan, in a written reply, said the programme reaches audiences through multiple traditional and digital platforms, including Akashvani, Doordarshan, and online streaming services.

Produced by Akashvani without additional expenditure, Mann Ki Baat was first aired on October 3, 2014. It is broadcast live across All India Radio’s national and regional networks, with versions in various regional languages to cater to vernacular audiences. It is also telecast on Doordarshan’s national and regional channels, DD Free Dish, and multiple private television channels.

The programme is live-streamed and archived on platforms such as YouTube (PMO India, AIR), Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform WAVES, and the NewsOnAIR app, making it accessible to listeners across India and abroad. Social media platforms like Facebook, X, and Instagram further extend its global reach.

Murugan noted that the visual format of the programme fosters audience engagement by encouraging collective listening and discussion in homes and communities.
