Patna, Bihar: The Prashant Kishor-led Jan Suraaj Party has dissolved its entire organisational structure — from the panchayat level to the state unit — following its poor performance in the recently concluded Bihar assembly elections.

The decision was taken at the party’s national council meeting in Patna, chaired by state president Manoj Bharti and attended by Prashant Kishor. Party spokesperson Syed Masih Uddin confirmed that the overhaul process would begin immediately, with new units expected to be constituted over the next six weeks.

Senior leaders have been assigned responsibility for all 12 divisions across Bihar. They will now undertake extensive reviews on the reasons behind the party’s electoral failure and assess cases of possible indiscipline or internal sabotage. The findings will be submitted in a detailed report to the party’s top leadership.

The Jan Suraaj Party, which entered the electoral contest with high expectations, failed to secure a single seat and saw most of its candidates lose their deposits.
