New Delhi: IndiGo will commence direct flights between Delhi and London Heathrow from February 2, 2026, further expanding its long-haul international network and strengthening air connectivity between India and the United Kingdom.
The airline will operate the Delhi–London service five days a week using Boeing 787 aircraft, offering passengers IndiGoStretch and Economy Class seating options. With this addition, IndiGo’s total weekly operations to London will rise to 12 flights, as it already runs daily services between Mumbai and London Heathrow.
According to the announced schedule, flight 6E 0003 will depart Delhi at 09:40 and arrive in London at 14:55 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The return service, flight 6E 0004, will depart London at 17:15 and reach Delhi at 08:15 the next day.
IndiGo Chief Executive Officer Pieter Elbers said the launch of direct flights from Delhi to London would provide more travel options for passengers and build on the airline’s recent expansion in the UK market. He said the new service follows the introduction of direct flights from Mumbai to London and services from Delhi and Mumbai to Manchester, and is expected to support growing demand for travel driven by commerce, tourism, and visits to family and friends. Elbers added that IndiGo remains committed to making international travel more accessible while enhancing connectivity between India and key global destinations.
The Delhi–London route is part of a broader international expansion strategy focused on Delhi as a major hub. In recent months, IndiGo has launched flights from the capital to destinations including Denpasar, Krabi, Hanoi, Guangzhou, and Manchester. The airline has also announced plans to begin direct services to Athens in January 2026.
Over the past year, IndiGo has added 10 new international destinations and introduced more than 30 new international routes from various Indian cities. The upcoming London Heathrow flights will be operated using aircraft taken on wet or damp lease from Norse Atlantic Airways, aligning with the airline’s focus on maintaining affordability, operational reliability, and on-time performance.
