IAF Training Aircraft Crashes Near Tambaram, Pilot Escapes Unhurt

Chennai: An Indian Air Force training aircraft crashed near Tambaram on Friday afternoon during a routine mission, officials said. The pilot managed to eject in time and escaped without injuries.

According to the IAF, the aircraft involved was a Pilatus PC-7, which was conducting a standard training sortie when it went down. The crash occurred around 2 pm in the vicinity of the Tambaram air base.

An official statement confirmed the incident and said that immediate rescue measures were taken after the pilot ejected safely. The Air Force has ordered a Court of Inquiry to determine the cause of the crash.
