Saran: A tragic road accident in Bihar’s Saran district on Wednesday morning claimed the lives of four people, including two women, while leaving six others injured, police officials said.
The incident occurred around 5:45 am on the Brahmpur-Revelganj road under the Bhagwan Bazaar police station limits. According to Chhapra SDPO (Sadar-1), a pickup vehicle carrying 12 passengers was travelling from Brahmpur towards Uttar Pradesh when the driver allegedly lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.
In the aftermath of the crash, an unidentified truck reportedly ran over four individuals—two men and two women—who had fallen onto the road, leading to their death on the spot.
The injured were rushed to medical facilities, with four currently undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital in Chhapra. Two others, said to be in critical condition, have been referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital for advanced care.
Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and registered an FIR at the Traffic Police Station. Authorities are now examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the truck involved and trace its driver.
Officials said the deceased hailed from different parts of Uttar Pradesh, and efforts are underway to inform their families.
