Four Dead, Fifteen Injured in Gujarat Highway Collision Near Radhanpur

Patan: Four people lost their lives and fifteen others were injured after a pickup van collided with a truck and two motorbikes near Moti Pipli village in Gujarat’s Patan district on Sunday morning.

The accident occurred around 10 a.m. on the national highway near Radhanpur. According to Superintendent of Police Vasant Nayi, the pickup van carrying about fifteen passengers collided head-on with a truck while attempting to overtake on a stretch where one side of the road was blocked due to construction work.

“In the process, the van also hit two two-wheelers carrying four people,” the SP said.

Two van passengers and two motorcyclists died on the spot, while fifteen others were injured, including two in critical condition. All the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The deceased were identified as Lakshman Desai, Yash Unchosan, Kanu Raval, and Nasib Khan, a Radhanpur police official confirmed.
