New Delhi: The National Highways Authority of India has announced a marginal increase in the fee for the FASTag Annual Pass, which will come into effect from April 1, 2026, for the financial year 2026–27.

According to the announcement, the annual pass fee will rise from ₹3,000 to ₹3,075. Officials said the revision has been made in line with the provisions of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.

The FASTag Annual Pass is designed for eligible non-commercial vehicles that have a valid FASTag. It allows motorists to travel through around 1,150 toll plazas across national highways and expressways without the need for frequent top-ups.

With the pass, users can pay a one-time fee that remains valid for one year or up to 200 toll crossings, whichever comes first. The system automatically activates the annual pass on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle, usually within two hours of payment.

Motorists can purchase or renew the pass through the Rajmargyatra App or via the NHAI website.

The FASTag Annual Pass scheme was introduced on August 15, 2025, to make highway travel more convenient and cost-effective for regular commuters. Since its launch, it has seen significant uptake among private vehicle owners, with more than 56 lakh users already opting for the facility.

Officials said the growing popularity of the pass reflects the increasing adoption of digital toll payments and the demand for smoother travel across India’s highway network.
