New Delhi: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Thursday announced the Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) results for 2026, with both examinations recording pass percentages above 99.
The ICSE (Class 10) exam saw an overall pass percentage of 99.18, while the ISC (Class 12) recorded a pass rate of 99.13.
A total of 2,58,721 students appeared for the ICSE examination, out of which 2,56,590 successfully cleared it, while 2,131 candidates did not qualify. For the ISC examination, 1,03,316 students appeared, with 1,02,414 passing and 902 failing to clear the exam.
Girls outperformed boys in both categories. In ICSE, girls achieved a pass percentage of 99.46 compared to 98.93 among boys. Similarly, in ISC, girls recorded a 99.48 pass rate, while boys stood at 98.81.
Category-wise data showed that general category students led the ICSE results with a 99.26 per cent pass rate, followed closely by Other Backward Classes at 99.24 per cent. Scheduled Castes recorded 98.76 per cent, while Scheduled Tribes stood at 98.07 per cent.
In ISC, general category students registered a 99.17 per cent pass percentage, followed by OBC students at 99.12 per cent. Scheduled Tribes recorded 98.84 per cent, while Scheduled Castes stood at 98.77 per cent.
The examinations were conducted across 67 subjects for ICSE and 45 subjects for ISC. Students can access their results on the official CISCE website.
