Air India Cancels Delhi-Hong Kong Flights Amid Typhoon Ragasa; Offers Refunds and Rescheduling

New Delhi — Air India has cancelled two international flights due to adverse weather conditions caused by Typhoon Ragasa in Hong Kong. Flight AI314 from Delhi to Hong Kong scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, and flight AI315 from Hong Kong to Delhi scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, have been called off.

In an official statement, the airline said, “Flight AI314 (Delhi-Hong Kong, 23 Sept) and AI315 (Hong Kong-Delhi, 24 Sept) stand cancelled due to the adverse weather forecast from Typhoon Ragasa in Hong Kong.” Passengers are being offered full refunds or a one-time complimentary rescheduling in the same class.

Air India also provided 24×7 contact numbers for passenger assistance: 011-69329333 / 011-69329999. “Safety of our passengers remains our highest priority,” the airline added.

Hong Kong International Airport had earlier suspended all passenger flights for 36 hours due to Super Typhoon Ragasa, from 8 pm (1200 GMT) on September 23 to 8 am on September 25, as reported by Qantas Airways.

Meanwhile, the Air India group announced plans to commence commercial operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) in its first phase. Air India Express will initially operate 20 daily departures, connecting 15 Indian cities, with plans to expand to 55 daily departures by mid-2026 and 60 departures by Winter 2026, including up to five daily international flights.
