Jind: A tragic fire claimed the lives of two young men in Haryana’s Jind district early Saturday morning. The victims were asleep in a room near a motor borewell when a sudden blaze broke out, reportedly triggered by an electrical short circuit.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred when a battery used to power the motor is believed to have malfunctioned, causing sparks that quickly ignited nearby materials. The flames spread rapidly, leaving the two youths trapped inside the small room before help could arrive.
Authorities have sent the bodies for postmortem and initiated inquiries to confirm the exact cause of the fire. The sudden loss has plunged the local community into deep sorrow.
