Chandigarh: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S Kultar Singh Sandhwan visited different spiritual places at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and also paid his obeisance at Baba Kashi Vishwanath temple. This temple is situated on the bank of the sacred river Ganga and it is not only a center of faith, but also a wonderful confluence of our glorious heritage and modernity.

He also paid obeisance at Guru Ka Bagh Gurdwara Sahib in Varanasi (UP), the land touched by the lotus feet of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Speaker also prayed for the welfare of all Punjabis.

After reaching this holy land of Varanasi, Speaker Sandhwan said his mind felt immense peace and tranquility. This is the same historical place where Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji had visited during his first Udasi and had a discussion with Pandit Chatur Das and showed him the path of truth through the ‘Oankar’ Bani.

Speaker also paid his obeisance at the holy birthplace of Shiromani Bhagat Guru Ravidas Ji, Seer Govardhanpur at Varanasi who gave the concept of ‘Begampura’ where there was no sorrow, no discrimination and no injustice. Let us follow the path shown by Him and rise above the bonds of caste and build strong brotherhood.
