Secretary School Education submitted report to SC Commission

Chandigarh : Secretary School Education Department Punjab Government has submitted a report to the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission regarding the disregard of the reservation policy applicable to the Scheduled Castes category in the advertisement issued by the Recruitment Board of the Education Department for the posts of lecturers.

\Giving information in this regard, Chairman of the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Jasvir Singh Garhi said that this matter had come to his notice, after which the Commission had ordered the Secretary School Education Department Punjab to appear before the Commission on July 3, 2026 in person, following which Secretary School Education Department Mrs. Sonali Giri appeared before the Commission and presented documents regarding the non-availability of vacancies for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes during this recruitment process, in which regard the Commission will study these documents within 72 hours and issue appropriate orders.
