Chandigarh/Khanna: Punjab Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Wednesday assured representatives of the MGNREGA Karamchari Union that their genuine demands would be examined and addressed on a priority basis to ensure their time-bound resolution.
During a meeting with the union representatives at Khanna, Sond gave a patient hearing to their concerns and demands and assured them that Mann government would make every possible effort to resolve their pending issues in a timely manner.
Acknowledging the significant role played by MGNREGA employees in implementing MGNREGA and now, VB G RAM G as well and ensuring the effective delivery of government schemes at the grassroots level, the Minister said their contribution was vital to strengthening rural infrastructure and improving the lives of people in villages across Punjab.
Highlighting the people-centric approach of the state government, the Minister said that the Mann government was working tirelessly for the welfare of all sections of society, including farmers, labourers, youth, women, government employees and rural communities. He added that the government remained committed to promoting inclusive growth, strengthening rural governance, expanding employment opportunities and ensuring efficient delivery of citizen-centric services across the state.
