CHANDIGARH, March 26, 2026: Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora presented the four-year report card of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann during a nukkad meeting in Sarabha Nagar.
Addressing the gathering, Arora said that Punjab is moving towards fast growth and will soon become a vibrant “Rangla Punjab.” He claimed that the state has seen historic development in the last four years, which was not seen in the past 70 years.
Top Rankings and Power Reforms
Sanjeev Arora said that Punjab has been ranked number one by the Government of India in road safety, education, and ease of doing business. He said this is the first time Punjab has achieved such recognition in key sectors.
He added that the whole country is now talking about Punjab’s progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Talking about electricity, Arora said that every household in Punjab has been getting 300 units of free electricity per month for the last four years. He said that 75% of farmers are getting uninterrupted power supply in the morning, which will increase to 95% in the coming paddy season.
He also said that services of PSPCL have improved, leading to more profits, fewer losses, and better power supply across the state.
Healthcare, Women Support and Infrastructure
Arora said that the Punjab government has launched a universal cashless health insurance scheme of up to ₹10 lakh for every citizen, making Punjab the first state in the country to introduce such a scheme.
He also announced that women in Punjab will soon start receiving financial assistance of ₹1,000 and ₹1,500 per month as announced by the Chief Minister.
He added that roads in Punjab will soon be clean and free from garbage, and the state will have one of the best road infrastructures in the country.
