New Delhi, May 29 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday thanked the people of Punjab after the party registered a strong performance in the urban local body elections. He described the results as a sign of public support for the work being carried out by the Bhagwant Mann-led government in the state.
In a video message shared on social media platform X, Kejriwal said the party had already received significant support in the recent rural local body elections, and the latest urban poll results further reflected the confidence people have in AAP. He said the outcome showed that the party enjoys support in both rural and urban areas of Punjab.
People Have Supported Development-Focused Governance
Kejriwal said the election results indicate that voters have appreciated the government’s work and development-oriented approach. He claimed that initiatives such as free electricity, Aam Aadmi Clinics, improvements in education and transparent job opportunities have received a positive response from the public.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also reacted to the results, stating that the people of Punjab have repeatedly shown confidence in AAP through various elections held in recent years. He said the party’s candidates secured victories in a large number of municipal councils and local bodies across the state.
AAP Leaders React to Election Results
AAP Punjab In-Charge Manish Sisodia said the results were not just an electoral victory but also a message from voters in favour of development and governance. He stated that the people of Punjab have continued to support what he described as honest and work-based politics.
Meanwhile, AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj said the election results reflected public sentiment and showed that people stand against injustice and support parties they believe are working in their interest.
Party leaders said the government would continue focusing on development projects and public welfare initiatives across cities, towns and villages in Punjab. They added that efforts would be made to ensure balanced development throughout the state.
